Vaccines are a crucial tool in preventing and controlling infectious diseases. They work by stimulating the immune system to produce an immune response to a specific pathogen, such as a virus or bacteria, without causing the disease itself. This immune response allows the body to recognize and fight off the pathogen if it is encountered in the future.
At Bluewater Clinical Research Group, we have held numerous vaccine trials for several pathogens including the Flu, Lyme Disease, RSV, rotavirus and S. pneumoniae. Currently, we have several new vaccine clinical studies involving the prevention of Urinary Tract Infections in adults over 65 years old and Cytomegalovirus in young children ages 9-15 years old.
